Blueberry picking...

Yes, everyone was a bit groggy as I dragged them out of bed early(after a late baseball nite') to make our trek to meet the McBr tribe at the blueberry fields before the heat hit us.

I have never seen so many huge ripe berries before. I think we must have been there very early in the picking!

There's nothing quite like the 'plunk, plunk' of fresh, ripe, huge , juicy blueberries hitting the bottom of the empty can!

Yummmmy...and so good for us too :) In total we picked over 22 pounds of blueberries and 1.5 weeks later, we have almost finished them off!

This is the extent of my culinary creativity... a blob of sugar cookie dough baked on a pizza stone smothered in cream cheese with a touch of sugar and vanilla, and topped with all sorts of seasonal fruit--yum :) This was for my dear friend's 40th surprise party~
